Joe Torry is an American comedian, actor, and screenwriter known for his energetic stand-up style and strong presence in 1990s Black comedy culture. Born in St. Louis, Missouri, he rose to fame as the host of HBO’s Def Comedy Jam, where his quick wit and ability to interact with audiences helped him stand out.
